The New Pioneer
Cambridge Valley Machining
Jim Moore, President
While manufacturing has become a global business, there are certain industries that still rely on American quality control and security to do the job right. The aerospace and defense industries count on Cambridge Valley Machining to manufacture precision parts for aircraft and military applications. And Cambridge Valley's president, Jim Moore, counts on support from Pioneer Bank for new equipment lending and banking solutions to help him compete on a national level.
Cambridge Valley Machining specializes in design, machining, and assembly of parts and equipment used in defense systems and commercial and private planes. Founded by Jim's father-in-law in 1988, the Company's clients have included medical manufacturers, packaged good companies and the semiconductor industry, to name a few. Their specialization in large orders and complex parts proved a good fit for the aerospace and defense industries, contributing to Cambridge Valley Machining's continued growth.
The company is now the largest private employer in the Cambridge area, with almost 100 employees. Jim is committed to providing a safe workplace, earning certification through OSHA's Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP). The company is also active in the community and supports local charities.
Cambridge Valley Machining came to Pioneer in 2015. Previously, Jim worked with a large national bank that he found was increasingly impersonal and out of touch with his business. Pioneer's team was willing to take time to understand his business, his customers and their business model. Pioneer Bank's responsiveness and flexibility made things easier for Jim, and their solutions were a perfect fit for Cambridge Valley Machining's business needs.
