Tina Mesiti-Céas and Randolph J. Collins
The principals of CSArch share a commitment to sustainable design and a passion for high-performance buildings that minimize the impact on the environment and cost less to operate. They view buildings as a legacy from one generation to the next, and as architects, engineers and construction managers, they take a pivotal role not only in the buildings they create, but also in the lives of the people who use them.
Nowhere is this philosophy more evident than in recent projects created by CSArch in a partnership with Pioneer Bank. Spearheaded by founding principal Randolph Collins and senior design architect Tina Mesiti-Céas, the CSArch team studied customer experiences in the financial services industry to develop a more personal and collaborative banking environment. The result is the innovative new Pioneer Bank branches in Clifton Park and downtown Albany.
Both locations feature attractive, open designs that change the relationship between client and bank personnel. Transactions take place at a state-of-the-art pod instead of behind a teller counter. The spaces feature iPad®s, Wi-Fi access and refreshments for customers. And both branches offer additional services to meet community needs, including shipping, copying and even a retail shop, to deliver convenience and functionality far beyond the traditional bank.
As a progressive design firm, CSArch architects understand that risk creates opportunities. Collins was impressed by Pioneer leadership's willingness to explore new ideas and search for better ways to get things done. This partnership resulted in an innovative new approach to branch design that will benefit the community and support the Pioneer Bank brand through an enhanced customer experience.
