Construction of New Pioneer Headquarters Begins Summer 2015
We announced today that we will be building a new Pioneer headquarters located at the corner of Albany-Shaker Road and Wolf Road, in Colonie. As we continue to grow in the Capital Region, the new headquarters will better suit our needs as a regional bank.
Our current headquarters in Troy are actually spread across three buildings. The new headquarters building will allow the Pioneer Bank team, as well as our Municipal and Financial Services team members to work under one roof. The majority of our 125 employees who presently work out of three offices will make the transition to the new headquarters.
“This is a landmark day in the 125-year history of Pioneer Bank,” said Tom Amell, President and CEO of Pioneer Bank. “Our new headquarters will be customized to meet the needs of our growing staff and customer base, and feature cutting-edge technology, similar to what our customers have come to expect at our branches. Additionally, having our employees under one roof will improve our operations, allowing us to better serve our customers and make Pioneer a bank that’s easy to do business with.”
The new headquarters will feature 60,000 square feet of office space across four floors. We have plans to move into the building by late spring or summer of 2016. Approximately 9,000 square feet of space will be available for lease on the first floor for additional retail opportunities.
“As our bank continued to grow, it became apparent we would need to consolidate our operations under a built-to-suit headquarters,” said Frank Sarratori, Executive Vice President at Pioneer Bank. “This investment in our future will allow us to better serve our present and future customers across the board, and providing a consistently excellent experience is what our customers have come to expect from us.”
The new headquarters will also be home to a Banking Center, which will feature a drive-up interactive teller machine. A remote ATM will also be located on the premises for convenient use by the public. Our plan is to build a world-class phone center to provide unmatched customer service, as well as launch a Pioneer Learning Center to facilitate the training of all of our valued employees. With the opening of the new Headquarters’ Banking Center and the future opening of a branch in downtown Schenectady, we will have 19 conveniently located branches throughout the Capital Region.
We will continue to operate the bank branch located at its current headquarters, located at 21 Second Street in Troy.
