September 28, 2016
ALBANY, NY - Pioneer Bank held an open house and ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of its new headquarters and Banking Center on Thursday September 29. The state-of-the-art mixed-use space, located at the corner of Albany-Shaker Road and Wolf Road in Colonie, was built specifically for the growing company’s needs, and provides Pioneer with a centralized location as the institution continues to grow its reputation as an industry leading financial service provider throughout the Capital Region.
Open house attendees enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as they toured Pioneer Bank’s recently completed headquarters and Banking Center. In addition, guests heard from President & CEO Tom Amell and First Columbia President & CEO Kevin Bette, about the construction process and impact of the new building, as well as the bright future that awaits the Pioneer Bank team in its new space.
The 60,000-square-foot office space allows the Pioneer team, as well as Pioneer’s Commercial, Municipal and Financial Services team members, to work under one roof for the first time in the organization’s history. The majority of the organization’s 130 employees who previously worked out of three offices in Troy have made the transition to the new headquarters. The new headquarters offers Pioneer’s growing Wealth Management team, as well as the recently acquired Anchor Agency, to work closely in space custom designed to promote team cohesiveness and creativity.
The new headquarters houses a Banking Center on the first floor, featuring a drive-up interactive teller machine. A remote ATM is also located on the premises for convenient use by the public. The Banking Center had a soft opening on Tuesday, September 27, and officially celebrated its ribbon cutting last night.
Also included in their state-of-the-art headquarters is a learning center called ImagineU to facilitate the training of all of Pioneer’s valued employees. Pioneer Bank, widely regarded as a financial institution that is easy to do business with, now has 21 conveniently located branches throughout the Capital Region. Additionally, the new headquarters offers approximately 9,000 square feet of retail space for lease on its first floor.
“Today is truly a day worth celebrating, as we welcome our friends and neighbors to tour Pioneer Bank’s new headquarters,” said Tom Amell, President and CEO of Pioneer Bank. “Its cutting edge amenities, centralized location, state-of-the-art Banking Center and ability to house our entire team offers Pioneer Bank the opportunity to continue its tradition of excellence and provide our clientele throughout the Capital Region with top quality financial services for many years to come.”
